In order to implement the important instruction of President Xi Jinping to "strive to build the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences into the core base of China's medical science and technology innovation system", based on the new development stage, implement the new development concept, build a new development pattern, better serve the innovation-driven development and healthy China strategy, and promote the national medical science and technology innovation system and the construction of strategic scientific and technological forces, the 2022 China Medical Development Conference with the theme of "building national medical health strategic scientific and technological forces" was held in Beijing on April 16, 2022.   The conference discussed the development and innovation in the fields of clinical medicine, dentistry, basic medicine and biology, pharmacy, health and environment, biomedical engineering and informatics, pharmaceutical industry transformation and history of medicine, to further clarify the connotation of the national medical health and health strategic science and technology power, explore the construction path, and make strategic and policy suggestions to help the high-quality development of medical health. A number of academicians and experts attended the meeting and delivered keynote speeches, including academician Wang Chen, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Lin Huiqing, chairman of the Medical Education Expert Committee of the Ministry of Education; and academician Zhao Xiangeng, former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.  

  Ms. Cheng Cheung Ling, President of CP Pharmaceutical Group and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sino Biopharm, attended the meeting. Mr. Tse, Eric S Y, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Sino Biopharm and Chairman of CTTQ, delivered a speech on the theme of "Innovative Development of Sino Biopharm in the New Ecology" at the meeting. Mr. Tse, Eric S Y introduced the development history, corporate values, development profile and innovation ideals of CP Pharmaceutical Group, and said that CP Pharmaceutical Group has always been committed to the pursuit of drug differentiation and innovation, localization of drugs and higher quality and better safety of products, and has always been at the head of innovation and development, with annual R&D investment increasing year by year, and currently the group companies have 417 projects under research, of which the proportion of innovative drugs and biological drugs accounts for more than 54%.  

  Finally, Mr. Tse, Eric S Y shared the Group's understanding of social responsibility: enterprises are not only economic subjects, but also members of the society, and inherit the feeling of family and nation, we very much hope to use our own growth to repay the country and promote the progress and development of society. We look forward to working with all academicians and experts here to jointly participate in and promote the great cause of China's development from a "pharmaceutical making power" to a "pharmaceutical innovation power", and to contribute to the strength of Chinese pharmaceutical enterprises for the Health China strategy.   It is reported that the China Medical Development Conference is an annual platform for the Chinese medical community to plan the development of national medicine. Its purpose and role are to gather national medical science and technology development ideas, lead the direction of national medical science and technology development, showcase the important achievements of Chinese medical science and technology, discuss national medical and health education reform, and promote the high-quality development of national medical health.
